This Photoshop action set contains actions which can create a variety of edges and effects:

• A Darkened or Lightened Edge
• A Soft Darkened, Lightened, or Colored Edge
• A "Dark Dream" Effect
• An "Airy Dream" Effect
• Fade Background Lighter
• Fade Background Darker
• Fade Background to Any Color
• Combinations

A Few Samples

To see the "Before" version, position your mouse cursor over the image.
A Darkened or Lightened Edge You control the width and the amount of the effect. On all these examples, you can see the "before" version by putting your mouse cursor over the image.
A Soft Darkened, Lightened, or Colored Edge You control the width and the amount of the effect. You can lighten or darken the edge, or you can choose a Foreground Color to use for the soft edge.
A "Dark Dream" Effect You control the effect on the main subject(s) and the background separately.

An "Airy Dream" Effect You control the effect on the main subject(s) and the background separately.
Fade Background Lighter

Fade Background to Any Color (in this case, green)
Combinations You can run any of these actions more than once on an image, or you can combine them. In this example, First I ran Fade Background to make it darker, and then I ran Fade Background to a dark green.
