Ajo Mountain Spring

This is inside Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. This was a good year for spring flowers. The yellow flowers are Brittlebush, Encelia farinosa. They are called Brittlebush because the stems snap off cleanly. The orange flowers at the bottom are Desert Mallow, Sphaeralcea ambigua. The hillside was also sprouting with photographers.
