Arizona Artist
Your Arizona artist is Pat Goltz. I live in southern Arizona, and travel all over the state taking pictures. I also branch out elsewhere when I get the chance. I use Pentax equipment, and I am a diehard film user. I will occasionally use a digital camera, but I won't be doing most of my work with one until I can afford a really decent one and they meet my requirements and take my lenses. My goal in my work is to present beauty to the viewer. I want to show people the beauty they haven't had the opportunity to go see for themselves. I believe art is about beauty. It is to be inspirational, or move one to do humanitarian acts. Soli Deo Gloria.

Album: Digital Landscapes

These are digital landscapes, made mostly in Terragen, with a few made in Vue d'Esprit. Some of the terrains used in the Terragen images are real terrains, mostly from Arizona and Utah. A digital landscape is not a photograph. It is calculated, pixel by pixel, by the computer, using converted digital elevation models or computer calculated terrains, and various formulas that determine the surface of the land, water, and sky.
