Ajo Mountain Spring
| Description | : | This view was taken from within the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. The columnar cacti are saguaros (pronounced "sah-wah-ros"), and the flowers are Mexican poppies and brittlebush. At the extreme lower left you can see blue lupines. These are similar to the Texas bluebonnet. As you can see, this wonderful spring of 2005, after abundant winter rains, the flowers were exceptional, growing all over the hillside. Also growing on the hillside were photographers! |
