Showing Hidden Folders in Windows Vista and Windows 7

  1. Open any folder.

  2. Click the Organize button on the toolbar.

  3. From the menu that appears, select "Folder and Search Options."

  4. Click the "View" tab.

  5. Select "Show hidden files and folders."

  6. Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types."

  7. Click "OK."

  8. In some cases, you may need to close and re-open Windows Explorer in order to see the "ProgramData" folder.



Windows 7
  1. Open any folder.

  2. From the menu, select "Tools," and then "Folder Options."

  3. In the dialog that appears, click the "View" tab.

  4. Select "Show hidden files, folders, and drives."

  5. Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types."

  6. Click "OK."

  7. In some cases, you may need to close and re-open Windows Explorer in order to see the "ProgramData" folder.
